Marco Marquez

Healthy Homes and Transportation Coordinator

Marco Marquez is a longtime grassroots climate activist and organizer. Originally from Milwaukee, Marco witnessed first hand how the impacts of air pollution and climate change disproportionately affected his loved ones and his community in the south side of the city. He has spent the last 5 years fighting to protect our land, air and water in Wisconsin so we can all live life to the fullest for generations to come.


Now in Madison, Marco is pursuing dual masters degrees in Urban Planning and Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin. His studies will focus on sustainability in regards to housing and transportation and he is pursuing a certificate in Energy Analysis and Policy. 


Marco is also the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Wisconsin Conservation Voices.


In his free time Marco enjoys bike riding and swimming with his wife and family members, as well as playing soccer, volleyball, and hiking around our beautiful state.
