Take Action To Protect Health

Wisconsin families deserve to breathe clean air, drink safe water, and live in communities free from pollution-related illness. That's why Healthy Climate Wisconsin exists.

We know the facts: air pollution triggers asthma attacks in our children. Contaminated water causes disease. Climate change worsens heat-related emergencies and spreads illness. But we also know something equally powerful—that real solutions exist, and they start with action.

Our health advocates, working alongside grassroots partners, have secured stronger protections for our most vulnerable communities. We've pushed for clean energy that reduces the pollution poisoning our air. We've held polluters accountable so families don't pay the price with their health.

When you support Healthy Climate Wisconsin (HCW), you're doing more than environmental work—you're saving lives. You're preventing the next asthma attack. You're ensuring children can play outside without fear. You're building a Wisconsin where everyone, regardless of zip code, can access clean water and breathe freely.

Our work is grounded in science. Our mission is driven by love for this state and the people in it.  And every dollar you give directly funds the advocacy, community organizing, and accountability efforts that protect Wisconsin's health today and secure a safer tomorrow.

Stand with us. Choose health. Choose a healthy climate for Wisconsin.

Healthy Climate Wisconsin is building a movement where everyone has a seat at the table.  Real change happens when people shift power together. That's why our members educate, communicate, research, advocate, strategize, create coalitions, and organize as teams to build a Wisconsin where every child can breathe, thrive, and live with dignity, where communities are included in decisions, and health shapes policy.

Our teams are the foundation of HCW. They are made up of every kind of health professional you could think of, from medical students and retirees to social workers and veterinarians, with all different skill sets and levels. Our teams are not just for people who are most comfortable being a public voice or taking loud, visible action. If your strengths are in research and development, or you're most comfortable behind the scenes, we have a role for you!

If you're worried about not having "enough" of a skill, don't be! It's normal to feel nervous when joining a new group, but we will provide free training, and we are all learning as we go.  Oil and gas corporations and big tech are some of the richest corporations on the planet, so we need as many voices and skill sets as possible to even the odds. Our teams are always evolving, so check out their work and projects to see which inspires you most.
