Winter is Alive!

Winter is Alive! will feature outdoor sculptural installations and live-streamed performative and narrative events including open-mics and forums. Virtual gatherings will be shared through outdoor projection. Themes relevant to seasonal festivals, rituals and activities will be reconsidered as transformative platforms for awareness and creative solutions to global warming and human reconciliation.

The frozen lakes of Madison, Wisconsin, provide a visually and conceptually compelling site for installations and dialogue. Emphasis will be placed on reaching as many communities as possible locally, with multiple sites city-wide engaged throughout the event and globally, through live-streamed virtual collaboration and dialogue.
