About The Event

The PSC is accepting public input on the Columbia Project LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Alliant Energy Finance LLC (docket 98-36-CE-100).

Known as the Columbia Wind Project, the proposal is for electrical power generated by wind energy, with a capacity of 277 Megawatts (MW), in the Towns of Columbus, Hampden, Leeds, Fountain Prairie, Lowville, Ostego, Cortland, Springvale, and the Village of Doylestown in Columbia County, WI.

Up to 47 wind turbines are proposed. The wind energy generation from this project could generate enough clean energy to power the equivalent of about 100,000 homes each year.

The PSC needs to hear from you. You may feel nervous or unsure when thinking about testifying. That's normal! Some of our volunteers who have done this several times still do too. Yet, these hearings are an important way to stand with our neighbors and influence not just key regulators, but broader policy.
