If approved, the Forest Junction plant would be the second-largest in Wisconsin and would be used to power hyperscale data centers. We Energies/WEPCO/WPS has plans to buy the plant after Invenergy, a Chicago-based company, builds it. 

Hyperscale data centers require massive amounts of energy and, if powered by fossil fuels, massive amounts of water. The pollutants associated with these gas plants negatively affect almost every organ system, including kidneys, lungs, the heart, and the brain, and they can contribute to low birth weight, miscarriages, and increased infant mortality. At some point, the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) will host a public hearing, but concerned citizens can voice their opinions to local leaders now.  

At the event on the 14th, attendees will hear from three health professionals, two being from the Fox Cities area who are all willing to speak further on this topic:
