Health in the Halls

For the first time, over a dozen health organizations across Wisconsin are uniting to demand that our next Governor and state legislature treat climate change as the urgent health crisis it is. With wildfire smoke, heatwaves, and floods filling emergency rooms, doctors, nurses, and public health experts will converge on the Wisconsin State Capitol to deliver a clear message: we need climate action now to save lives.

The day will begin with a press conference featuring health organization leaders who will explain why climate change is a critical threat to public health, the policy actions needed, and why the time for action is now. Following the press conference, health professionals will move directly into the Capitol building, where they will personally deliver information packets and fact sheets to offices.
